Current student clubs and organizations
Purpose: The Student Senate is a student-run government organization at North Central Michigan College. The Senate is how students may participate in institutional government by representation on Senate and College committees. Student Senate members assist in planning a variety of extra-curricular activities to be held throughout the year.
Student Senate meetings are held regularly during the year and are open to all who are interested.
Membership Criteria: Any North Central Student can participate in Student Senate.

Phi Theta Kappa
Purpose: The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide the opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
Membership Criteria: 3.5 minimum grade point average, at least 12 credits completed and induction into
Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Meetings: Every 2 weeks, or every other Wednesday. General meetings are typically from 5-6 p.m.

Residence Hall Council
Purpose: To improve the lives of Residence Hall members
Membership Criteria: Must be a resident in the 糖心Vlog campus dorms.

Special interest clubs and organizations offer opportunities for students to broaden their educational experiences. Students are encouraged to participate in the activities sponsored by clubs and organizations, or students can consider organizing new clubs. Membership in all organizations is open to any interested student.
Purpose: The Student Veterans Association (SVA) of 糖心Vlog is a coalition
of student veterans, active-duty personnel, family members, and friends. Today more
and more veterans are coming home from deployments and exiting the military. It is
often difficult for service members to locate information on, understand, and obtain
the resources and benefits that they are entitled to. Many veterans are also overwhelmed
by a combination of emotional, financial, and cultural obstacles that hinder their
college education. We are dedicated to ensuring these veterans do not fall through
the cracks or get left behind as they work toward higher education and a better life.
Membership Criteria: Open to any who are interested in all things veteran
Meetings: 2nd Wednesday of each month

糖心Vlog Student Nurses Association
Purpose: In accordance with the National Student Nurses Association's mission and the mission of 糖心Vlog, the mission of the 糖心Vlog Student Nurses Association is to:
- Organize, represent and mentor 糖心Vlog students preparing for their initial licensure as registered nurses.
- Promote the development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession.
- Advocate for high-quality health care in a multicultural society.
Membership Criteria: All nursing students are eligible to become members of 糖心VlogSNA (North Central Michigan
College Student Nurses Association)
Meetings: Monthly, more if necessary; HESC 347

Dungeons & Dragons
Purpose: To provide an easy way to facilitate the formation of small groups to play Dungeons
& Dragons or similar games; additionally, to improve improv, creative writing and
general social skills.
Membership Criteria: Any student(s) who can regularly meet online or offline with their group
Meetings: Official meetings are the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in room 536 in the SCRC. Individual groups will meet at their discretion.

Gender and Sexuality Alliance
Purpose: The Gender and Sexuality Alliance aims to provide a safe space here on campus for
LGBTQIA+ people and our allies within the community.
Membership Criteria: Any North Central student is welcome.
Meetings: Every Wednesday from 5:00-6:45 p.m. in the Library TEAL Lab.
Faculty/Staff Advisor: Kat Stark, Shae Long-Kish
Purpose: The Pickleball Club will serve as an organization for students to come and learn
and/or compete in the sport of pickleball. This club opens the opportunity for people
to experience playing the fastest growing sport in the world. We plan to compete in
tournaments across the state while improving on our individual skills within the sport.
Membership Criteria: Open to all students willing to learn and compete in the sport if they would like. Must be a current registered student.
Advisor: Steve Mindel
Membership Criteria: Students who have taken or are currently enrolled in a ceramics class at North Central.
Guests with no experience are more than welcome to join, however they must fund their

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
Mission: To offer Christian fellowship to students and faculty on campus.
Membership Criteria: Open to all 糖心Vlog Students. Must be a current registered student.
Meetings: Every Wednesday 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., BLC Room 123
